MuskHQ is a research tool for Tesla and related Musk companies. We keep data collection small and say what is stored.

What we store in your browser

Chart notes and UI prefs stay on your device unless you clear site data.

Waitlist emails

If you join the waitlist, we store your email on our host so we can notify you about Tesla/BEV lead changes, earnings, and promise flips. We do not sell this list or send a newsletter blast.

Feedback

If you send feedback, we store the type, the page name, your message, an optional source link, and the account email. Accepted corrections are counted on that account. 10 accepted corrections is 1 month of Pro, 25 is 3 months, 50 is 1 year, and 100 is lifetime. A note sent before you have an account is kept by email and moves onto the account when you sign up with that email.

Accounts and daily time

Each person has their own login. We store the email, the name you give, a password hash if you use email, and the Google or Apple id if you use those. We do not store a shared password. We store a paid flag on the account. Card payment is not on yet, so we do not store card numbers.

Viewing time is counted only while the tab is visible. It resets at midnight, Singapore time. Signed-out visitors get 3 minutes a day. A free account gets 15 minutes a day. A paid account, or an account in a reward period, is not limited. For signed-out visitors we keep a cookie, a browser id, and a hash of the IP address for that day. We do not need this check to be perfect. Search and link-preview bots are not limited.

What we fetch from the network

Billing later

Paid checkout is not on yet. If we turn on card payments later, the payment company will handle the card. We would store only the plan status they send us. We will update this page if that starts.

What we do not do

Cookies

We set one first-party cookie, mw_vid, so a signed-out daily limit is harder to reset by clearing the page only. It is not an ad cookie. Cloudflare may set operational cookies. Google or Apple set their own cookies if you use those buttons.

Your rights

You may request access to or deletion of the account, feedback, or waitlist record we hold. Email hello@muskwatch.pages.dev with the subject “Privacy request.” For data that stays in the browser, clear site storage. We will respond within a reasonable time consistent with applicable law.
