MuskHQ is a research tool for Tesla and related Musk companies. We keep data collection minimal and are honest about what is local-only today versus what may be stored server-side when accounts and billing launch.

What we store in your browser today

Theme preference and UI settings (localStorage)
Optional profile if you sign in (name/email — localStorage only on this static build)
Bookmarks / chart notes / votes you create (localStorage)

This data stays on your device unless you clear site data. Chart notes and UI prefs are still local-only.

Waitlist emails

If you join the waitlist, we store your email on our host so we can notify you about Tesla/BEV lead changes, earnings, and promise flips. We do not sell this list or send a newsletter blast.

What we fetch from the network

Stock prices via our Cloudflare Worker proxy to market data sources (ticker series)
Fonts / map tiles from third-party CDNs when those features load
Optional Google Sign-In only if enabled for your origin (handled by Google)
Experimental feed scrapes may request public post metadata through our host; content is not a private inbox

When accounts & billing launch

Waitlist emails are already stored to send Tesla/BEV/earnings/promise alerts. If we enable cloud accounts or paid plans, we may also store server-side:

Account email and basic profile fields you provide
Payment processor tokens / customer IDs (e.g. Stripe) — not full card numbers on our servers
Subscription status and limited usage/product analytics needed to run the service (e.g. plan tier, feature access)
Saved profiles / notes you choose to sync to the cloud (if that feature ships)

We will update this page when those systems go live. Payment card data is processed by the payment provider under their privacy policy.

What we do not do

No sale of personal data
No ad tracking pixels on this build
No requirement to create an account to use charts, promises, or Fisher analysis during public beta

Cookies

We do not set first-party advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set operational cookies for security/CDN. Third-party sign-in or payment providers set their own cookies if you use them.

Your rights

You may request access to or deletion of personal data we hold about you (once server-side accounts exist, or for any contact records we have). Email hello@muskwatch.pages.dev with the subject “Privacy request.” For local-only data, clear site storage in your browser. We will respond within a reasonable time consistent with applicable law.
